My Rating:

After a decade of serving in the Army, everyone still expects me to be Dominic 'Nicky' Costigan--the skirt-chasing player. They don't know I've been spending my days trying to figure out my post-military life. Including how to pick up guys.
When I meet Luke on a hookup app, he makes it clear it's for one-night only. That's fine with me, because I'm down to see what this silver fox can do. But after I arrive at his doorstep, it doesn't take long to realize we have serious chemistry, and we end up meeting again.
He's got more walls around his heart than a military base, but I think he's as addicted to me as I am to him. He can't resist me for long. I mean, who can? Except Luke's rules exist for a reason, and when I test his limits, things get complicated. Maybe too complicated.

*FAST CONNECTION is a standalone, full-length romance novel with no cliffhanger*

So the M/M genre is relatively a new one for me. I haven’t branched out from the authors I started it with. Surprisingly, I’m okay with that. Especially if they are producing thinks like Fast Connection. My connection to the new Megtino (Megan Erickson & Santino Hassell) collaboration was definitely faster than any dial-up I ever had.

In this follow up to the first in the series, Strong Signal, we get on a one and one basis with Garrett’s army hookup slash kind of friend, Dominic “Nicky” Costigan. I mean, that name is dripping with hotness. Newly home from the sand and trying to acclimate back into the life he had before enlisting. What he didn't expect was to sign up for Grindr and be thrust into the world of online hook ups. And the last thing he expected was to hook up with the hottest silver fox this side of the Hudson river.
Enter Luke. Luke is a divorced dad of two and only in it for the hook up. Relationships of any kind is not on the menu. Get in and out and that's it. I loved how closed off he was. I know that sounds weird, but throughout the book, it felt like he was this precious onion and each chapter brought on a new layer to him. The closer he got to Dominic, the more invested he became, the more I fell in love with Luke.

I keep trying to find something I disliked about this follow up but there wasn't anything. The pace was steady and had me itching to get to the next chapter. The characters felt full. Not just Dominic and Luke, but their families as well. What Megan and Santino do so well in their separate novels is build a believable world for their heroes. From Dom's sister and parents to Luke's kids and ex-wife, I felt invested.

If I HAD to put a negative though, it would be that I want more. I want more of Dom and Luke, more of this world and definitely more of their attraction to one another. These two were as hot as my under boob in a heat wave. Trust me, that's hot.

If you haven't read anything by these two, please just start. You won't be disappointed.

Megan Erickson is a USA Today bestselling author of romance that sizzles. Her books have a touch of nerd, a dash of humor, and always have a happily ever after. A former journalist, she switched to fiction when she decided she likes writing her own endings better.
She lives in Pennsylvania with her very own nerdy husband and two kids. Although rather fun-sized, she’s been told she has a full-sized personality. When Megan isn’t writing, she’s either lounging with her two cats named after John Hughes characters or… thinking about writing.

Santino Hassell was raised by a conservative family, but he was anything but traditional. He grew up to be a smart-mouthed, school cutting grunge kid, then a transient twenty-something, and eventually transformed into an unlikely romance author.

Santino writes queer romance that is heavily influenced by the gritty, urban landscape of New York City, his belief that human relationships are complex and flawed, and his own life experiences.
