The Twelve Days of New Adult Hop Giveaway!

Giveaway Hop Hosted by Stuck In Books

Can you believe it is already the last month of the year? Neither can we. And this is probably going to be one of our favorite giveaways as well.
Over the last 12 months, we've read a lot of New Adult books. There were great ones and not so great ones. But when we try to think of the best of the best, Christina Lauren comes to mind every time. Since we both read Sweet Filthy Boy back in the spring, it is all we can ever talk about. I'm sure you've noticed. So the prize for this one was a no brainer.

So win a copy of BOTH Sweet Filthy Boy and Dirty Rowdy Thing!

Top Ten Tuesday! Books On Our Winter TBR

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish.

Hi! We are back with TTT this week so we are thankful for that. Also, it's my birthday! (Nikki lol) We are spending the week together so we are also thankful for that and most of all we are thankful for all of you guys!

Enough of that, lets talk Winter TBR list shall we?

Creep by Jennifer Hillier - I've heard great things about this thriller and stalker novels are right up my alley.

A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness - I've been meaning to start this for over a year now. It's time.

Fire by Fire by Jenny Han and Siobhan Vivian - Love this series. Sad to see it ending, but can't wait to read the conclusion.

Ensnared by A. G. Howard - I can't believe I've not picked this up yet, seeing as it was my favorite last year. A definite must read.

Dirty Rowdy Thing by Christina Lauren - Book two of the series! I'm expecting some fangirl feels with this one.

The Fine Art of Pretending by Rachel Harris - This has been on my list for a while and I've had it since September so I really need to start it.

Mai Tai'd Up by Alice Clayton - I LOVE this series and can't get enough from Alice's writing so the next book is a definite read.

The Unidentified Redhead by Alice Clayton - Keeping with the Clayton theme, I want to read where it all began for her. I also hear it is steamier than the Cocktail series.

Daimon by Jennifer L. Armentrout - I said I would read this whole series before February so I need to start now if I'm going to make it to that deadline.

Easy Street: The Hard Way by Ron Perlman - I love Sons of Anarchy and I love Ron Perlman so I think that reading his memoir will be actually life changing for me.

Until Next Time!

Thirsty Thursday #21: Favorite Smut Writers

"Thirsty Thursdays" is an original weekly feature where we highlight all that makes our mouth water in the world of books. Join us each week where we will pick either a quote, book cover, book boyfriend or kiss from our favorite books, that makes us all swoony. Please link back to us each week, we'd love for you to share what wets your whistle, as well!

Smut, not everyone loves it, but those of us who do know all too well that very rarely is there ever any middle ground when it comes to Erotica. It's either really good or really bad, not that we're judging. Different strokes for different folks.

This week was a hard one. Last week we did best romance author and then when I looked at this weeks, I thought, "Damnit. I should have saved them.", therefore, we are repeating our answer, and at least in our minds, rightfully so.

Authors: Christina Lauren

Swoon Factor: Subtle, yet filthy

Our Reason:

Keira: These ladies have a way of making the simplest thing sound sexy. Not only that, but their characters are all appealing, too.

Nikki: How can you not like them? The sexy parts of their books are some of the best I've ever read. They aren't in your face wham, bam, thank you ma'am. They are fine wine in the best possible ways.

Check out our Thirsty Thursdays tab for all our future Thursday topics!

Top Ten Tuesday! Characters We Wish Would Get Their OWN Book

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish.

Hey guys, we missed you all. But we're back this week. Read below about the characters we wish had their own book.

Jenara Holt from Splintered - Jenara is so much fun. She has quirky ideals and so much spunk. I think seeing things from her eyes, or even just seeing how her life continues while everyone else is off dealing with this other realm would be cool.

Brooklyn from The Merciless - Who is she? WHAT is she? Just how evil can she get?

Rhiannon from Every Day - What would it be like to see inside of the girl who dealt with A?

Gavriel from The Coldest Girl in Coldtown - Not necessarily a continuation, but something from the past. Gavriel’s history was fascinating to me.

Aimee from The Spectacular Now - I hated the way this book ended and I’m a firm believer that not everything has to have a happy ending, but I would really like to know where Aimee ended up. Her story was sad and she was sad and it would be nice to know that she ended up ok.

Rosalie Hale from Twilight - She is probably the one I found most interesting out of the Cullens. I wanted to know more about how her and Emmett came to be. Maybe that is why I love her in the Fanfiction world.

Raffe from Angel Fall - Even though he is a main character, I want to know more about his time in heaven. I think that is the most interesting arc.

Skye Lockwood from The Distance Between Us - She was the best friend that I wanted. She was badass and perfect balance for Caymen.

Clive from Wallbanger - Yes I know he is a cat. Yes I know that is weird. But come on, he is the most badass cat EVER!

Wren from Fangirl - Even though we got to see Wren from Cath's point of view, I would like to see how it feels to be the other twin in that relationship.

Book Review: Eight Days A Week by Amber L. Johnson (@whereisjakeryan)

Eight Days A Week by Amber L. Johnson
Publication Date: November 6, 2014
Published: The Writer's Coffee Shop
Source: The Writer's Coffee Shop

My Rating:

Gwen Stone has secrets she’s not ready to reveal. After a recent promotion at work, she needs a caretaker for her children. She’s frenzied and in a lurch and pretty much ready to hire the first person who comes along. So she does.

Andrew Lyons needs to get out of his sister’s apartment, and a Craigslist posting may be the answer to his prayers. But what he thought was an ad for a room rental turns into a job offer he can’t refuse. Accepting the nanny position could change his life, if only he had a clue how to be a grownup.

A working mother, a shirtless manny who looks good in a towel, two children who need more than than a babysitter, and hours of kids’ TV can only spell disaster for everyone involved.

Because a manny should always mind his own business.

And he definitely shouldn’t fall in love with his boss.

Thirsty Thursdays #20: Favorite Romance Author

"Thirsty Thursdays" is an original weekly feature where we highlight all that makes our mouth water in the world of books. Join us each week where we will pick either a quote, book cover, book boyfriend or kiss from our favorite books, that makes us all swoony. Please link back to us each week, we'd love for you to share what wets your whistle, as well!

Romance tends to be one of the biggest genre out there and there are so many authors to choose from. There are so many kinds of romance and every author has a different take on it. This week, we came to a consensus on an author to pick. Two authors in one!

Author(s): Christina Lauren

Swoon factor: S-M-U-T (Ditto)

Our Reason:
Keira: So I'm not a big romance reader, but every now and then I will really like an author and in this case it's two. Christina Lauren has a way of writing the filthiest scenes in a classy way, not to mention that 98% of their characters are swoon worthy!

Nikki: I am a BIG romance reader and they are it for me. The way they can keep you drawn in when it isn't all about the sex is amazing. Their raunchiest, steamiest, and down right dirty scenes are to die for yet they make you want more in the best way.
Their Loot:

Sunday Post #18

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
It's been a couple weeks since I've done this and I'm trying to think of everything I want to share, but so much of it you all would be bored with, so I won't ramble. Not today anyway. There's been no super life-changing events, just day in and day out business. It's that time of year, I suppose.

Halloween was amazing. My girl got her Hermione on during the day and was a Day of the Dead girl that night. The day put me in the holiday spirit and I'm soooo ready for Thanksgiving, which luckily I get to spend with Nikki, who has been so busy with school and planning her trip.

In blog news... WE HAVE REACHED 150! Like an hour before I typed this up. Our Race to 150 Giveaway will be ending in two weeks. We decided to let it run until then because we just ordered the swag and since we'll be putting the boxes together when Nikki gets here it really didn't make sense to not let people participate until that time. Thanks so much for all the shares and follows and love!
