My Rating:

One shy lost soul.
One silent lonely heart.
One love to save them both.
Life has never been easy for twenty-year-old Levi Carillo. The youngest of the Carillo boys, Levi is nothing like his older brothers. He isn’t dark in looks or intimidating to everyone he meets. In fact, he’s quite the opposite. Haunted by a crippling shyness and the tragic events of his past, Levi spends his days with his head buried in his books, or training hard for his college football team. Too timid to talk to girls, Levi stays as far away as possible and completely on his own… until he saves the life of a troubled pretty blonde, a troubled pretty blonde that might just be the exception to his rule.
Elsie Hall is homeless. Or at least that’s all anyone ever sees. Everyday is a fight for survival on the cold streets of Seattle, everyday a struggle to find food and keep warm. Alone in life—a life that’s dangerous and cruel—her will to keep going is an ever-losing battle. In her world of silence, Elsie has given up hope that her life will contain anything but constant struggle and pain… until the beautiful boy she has severely wronged comes to her rescue at precisely the right time.
New Adult novel—contains sexual situations and mature topics. Suited for ages 18 and up.

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn you Tillie Cole. You sucked me again with this series.

This book is amazing. It has everything. If you haven’t read the first 3 books in this series then you need to go back and start at the beginning.

Levi has been through a lot for a 20 year old. Youngest of 3, lived a poor life, part of a gang, lost his momma. Now living with his brother and sister-in-law, Levi is a very quiet, reserved young man who does not like the attention he gets from playing football. When his wallet is stolen from a young girl right in front of him he is devastated, his momma’s rosary, the last piece he has from her, was in there. He feels broken. On a night that he is supposed to be at a party he walks the town instead and happens on a man trying to beat a young girl. He goes to defend her and notices that it is the same girl who stole his wallet. He tries to help her, buys her coffee and food, blankets, sweatshirt but before he can take care of her she runs. He runs into her again as he is at a family dinner and she is trying to rob the restaurant. She is very sick and thin and passes out so they take her home. After waking up she realizes she is with the young man she stole the wallet from. Levi learns her name is Elsie and is absolutely taken with her. He knows she has had a hard life like him and only want to help her. So he does. He learns she has lived almost her life on the streets, she has been bullied, and survived on her own after losing her mom as well.

They start to see each other and heal one another. It is very hard for Elsie to trust and believe in others. She has lived a very very hard life and grew up thinking that no one wanted her. Levi starts to break down her walls she has built up and she does the same to him. This is a very powerful love story. Once you start you will not be able to put it down till the end.

I loved this book through and through, there were no drawn out parts in this story, no missing information, it kept my interest from beginning to end.

Amazon & USA Today Best Selling Author, Tillie Cole is a Northern girl through and through. She originates from a place called Teesside on that little but awesomely sunny (okay I exaggerate) Isle called Great Britain. She was brought up surrounded by her English rose mother — a farmer’s daughter, her crazy Scottish father, a savagely sarcastic sister and a multitude of rescue animals and horses.
