When it comes to love there’s no such thing as conventional.
Everyone thinks Colton Neely is special.
Lilly Evans just thinks he’s fascinating.
Once friends when they were younger, their bond is cut short due to her accident prone nature and they go their separate ways. Years later they meet again and Lilly learns that there is something special about the boy she once knew, but she has no idea what it all means. And she’s not sure if she’s ready to find out.
When he walks through the corridor of her school the first day of her senior year she knows that it’s time to get to know the real Colton Neely. The more she learns, the deeper she falls.
Their friendship grows into love, even as Colton cannot express it in words. But one decision threatens to break down the world that Lilly has tried so hard to create and she must figure out if the relationship can last without her being by his side.
For a long time I had an issue with Fanfic turned Original Fiction. I refused to buy books that I had already read. My disdain, however, is a long-since thing of the past, though, even if it hadn't been, Puddle Jumping would have been the book to change my mind. This story stuck with me long after any other tale in the Twilight fandom, and in truth, I can't put my finger on why. Perhaps it's because as people we so often find it hard to look beyond the norm that we need reminding, it's okay to be different, it's okay to not understand, and that brilliance doesn't always come in tidy, bow-wrapped packages. I will have to ponder the definite reasoning after my reread. Puddle Jumping, as I remember it, is heartbreaking and uplifting in one. I can't wait to have this story on my shelf. There is no doubt in my mind that the reworked piece will have as grand an impact on my heart, as the original work that I read so long ago.

So what are you guys waiting for?

Until next time!
