It's been a couple weeks since I've done this and I'm trying to think of everything I want to share, but so much of it you all would be bored with, so I won't ramble. Not today anyway. There's been no super life-changing events, just day in and day out business. It's that time of year, I suppose.

Halloween was amazing. My girl got her Hermione on during the day and was a Day of the Dead girl that night. The day put me in the holiday spirit and I'm soooo ready for Thanksgiving, which luckily I get to spend with Nikki, who has been so busy with school and planning her trip.

In blog news... WE HAVE REACHED 150! Like an hour before I typed this up. Our Race to 150 Giveaway will be ending in two weeks. We decided to let it run until then because we just ordered the swag and since we'll be putting the boxes together when Nikki gets here it really didn't make sense to not let people participate until that time. Happy Sunday! We hope all of you have had an amazing week and that the next one will be even better. Nikki is off at Comic-Con, meeting everyone under the sun. Last night I saw her post a picture with Andrew Lincoln. I won't even try to pretend I wasn't jealous. I mean, Rick Grimes?! Rick-freaking-Grimes. Sigh. Her trip to Con unfortunately derailed our week a bit. We had great plans for Marked Men week, but as we told you all last week, the real world has taken over. She does still plan on doing all of those reviews, however.

It's another one of those weeks that we don't have much to share. School, life, and work have kept us from doing anything out of the ordinary to share. I am happy to say, however, that my cough is almost gone! I (Keira) am starting to feel human again.

In blog news we have a couple things going on. There are two giveaways under way Books That Need More Attention and the Race to 150 Giveaway. While you're here make sure to check those out if you haven't.

Over the next three months things will be a little bit slower around here. There will be some weeks that we're post heavy, but others where you may only see reviews and a couple features. Classes have Nikki swamped and I'm doing quite a bit of volunteering, plus the holidays are around the corner, so it's a busy time. We're not going anywhere though and didn't want anyone to think otherwise.

I'm getting this up a lot later than usual. I would like to say there was a good reason behind that, but truth is, Nikki has gotten me addicted to Scandal and I was up all night watching that, then this morning I got busy with the kids and simply forget before we went out, so... Keira fail. 

Surprisingly, neither of us was up to much this week. Nikki has this school project where she has to make a children's book and it is absolutely adorable, but has taken a lot of her time, and me, well my cold was in full force most of the week, so I had many lazy days.

No better way to spend a rainy weekend than with a cold, ey? I couldn't figure out why I was feeling so blah, then the sniffles began. It's put me in a bit of a book rut, however, on the bright side, while snuggling my blanket and tissues, I'm finally watching the Harry Potter movies.

Nikki did a cool thing yesterday and here's what she had to say about it:

I went to Chapter by Chapter Book Rave and it was awesome! I met a bunch of authors who were some of the nicest people ever. I got a bunch of books (More than I should have spent) and I won a couple too. I did a lot of running and sweating which wasn't awesome but to get some of the ARCs I've been dying for was awesome. Thank you to all the authors who were great. Abover are the ones I got pics with but there were so many others I didn't ask which was a duh moment for me. Overall it was such a fun experience.

The rest of the week was eventful and uneventful at the same time. I did all the work and school stuff but I also went to a food fair/festival. I had a lamb burger that was out of this world and I had a vegan doughnut. I said it. Vegan. Doughnut. Anyway, this week I have off from school so hopefully I can do some reading and all the homework I have planned.
