Waiting on Wednesday #19

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

Author: Ann Aguirre
Release Date: 2015

Sage Czinski is trying really hard to be perfect. If she manages it, people won’t peer beyond the surface, or ask hard questions about her past. She’s learned to substitute causes for relationships, and it’s working just fine… until Shane Cavendish strolls into her math class. He’s a little antisocial, a lot beautiful, and everything she never knew she always wanted.
Shane Cavendish just wants to be left alone to play guitar and work on his music. He’s got heartbreak and loneliness in his rearview mirror, and this new school represents his last chance. He doesn’t expect to be happy; he only wants to graduate and move on. He never counted on a girl like Sage.
But love doesn’t mend all broken things, and sometimes life has to fall apart before it can be put back together again…
Bright and shiny? Yes and please. I recently read Ann Aguirres's first NA novel and appreciated her writing style. Hopefully I like this, too.

Author: Jen Brooks
Release Date: April 28, 2015

High school senior Jonathan Aubrey creates worlds at will. In Kylie-Simms-is-my-girlfriend, he’s given himself everything he doesn’t have in real life-–the track team, passing grades, and his dream girl–-until one day he confuses his worlds and almost kisses the real Kylie Simms. Now his girlfriend Kylie and the real Kylie are changing, and Jonathan must solve the mystery of his own life to save his love from a gruesome fate.
At first when I saw this I wasn't sure if I would be into it. But the more I think about this book the more I want to read it. There aren't many male pov books that I like but I think this can be one of them.

What has you guys waiting?

  1. I definitely want to read both of these! I've wanted to read In a World Just Right for awhile now, but after recently finishing Ann Aguirre's I Want It That Way, I definitely want to read The Queen of Bright and Shiny things now! Great picks, hope you both enjoy them :)
