My Rating:

If there’s one thing Cleo Reynolds knows, it’s that she’s not into Adrian King.
The son of a model with the looks to prove it, the experienced author of her school newspaper’s sex advice column, the cocky playboy with a hint of darkness. That Adrian King.
Nope. Nuh-uh. No way.

The problem is, he’s very into her.
After accidentally flashing him, and slightly-less-accidentally-but-still-totally-unintentionally making out with him in front of the whole class, she expects to be called crazy. Instead, he asks her out.

Cleo’s determined not to end up as another notch on his bedpost. Except she hasn’t done…you know…it in a while. (Read: ever.) And as a girl who pays her tuition by writing all the sex scenes in her roommate’s bestselling romance series, the lack of inspiration has served up a fat slice of writer’s block.
Until her roommate proposes that Cleo and Adrian act out all the steamy scenes in her book.
It’s just research. No feelings involved.
Nope. Nuh-uh.
No way.

Never have I stopped reading a book so many times to just reread the last line because I was laughing so hard. Not some giggle either. It was hold your gut laughing.

When I looked at the cover of Adrian Lessons I wasn't expecting something as funny as it was. Between Cleo always going pantless and talking about her love of food, I think I had found my spirit animal in a book.

Cleo Reynolds is a smut writer for her roommate and when she gets a case of writers block, her roommate tries to get her out of it. With the help of Adrian, the hot, hot guy that is everything Cleo shouldn't want and does at the same time. But what Cleo doesn't know is that Adrian is harboring a secret from their pasts.

What really made me like this was the sense of humor Cleo had and the charm that Adrian possessed. I mean, he was the Sex King! With a title like that I expected him to deliver, and deliver he did.

Some things threw me off though. At times I didn't believe that Cleo really cared for Adrian past the physical part. It seemed purely sexual most of the time and they didn't even have sex for most of the book! It was a lot of build up but I felt the mutual romantic attraction was lacking.

Overall, this book make me hungry for more than food and that was the Sex King all the way.

L.A Rose recently made it out of college alive and with an English degree. She's a habitual beach bum and a not-exactly-recovered romance addict. She's also plucked up the courage to become an indie author! ADRIAN LESSONS, a New Adult contemporary romance to be released on August 25th, is her first book - if you don't count the ones she wrote before she finally came up with something publishable. (She prefers not to.)
