We spend a lot of time talking about the male leads in the books we read. This week we are going to give the ladies a little love. We are naming our girl crushes!
Book: Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn
Swoon Quality: Ballsy chick has brass balls.
Why: No one could be more shocked than I am by this answer. Camille is genuinely messed up, but she's so much more than that. She's overcome heartache of multiple sorts, making her strong. She's overcome mental illness. She's sexy and blunt and curious. I have many girl character crushes, but Camille is definitely at the top of my list.
Girl Crush: Veronica Mars
Swoon Quality: She is so badass and snarky and still a marshmallow
Why: This is kinda a crossover because she is a TV character first but that doesn't stop me from loving her. Between the fact that she is the ultimate badass heroine, she is played by Kristen Bell too who is also my girl crush. She can solve a case and still look great doing it. And not to mention she has billionaire boys forever falling at her feet.
