Talk about a great follow up! When I read Make It Count a couple of months ago, I thought it was the best New Adult book I had read in a long time. I thought that it couldn't get better. I thought no one could live up to the love that was Alec and Kat. How wrong was I?! Two words: Max Payton.

Do I mean Max Payton who used to be Kat's boyfriend and all around dick? The same Max Payton who is best friends with our Nerdy Christmas Gift, Alec and almost ruined that friendship in a HUGE way?

In Make It Count, Max Payton was the worse thing ever. Worse boyfriend, worse bestfriend, all around douchehat but there was something under all that badness. There was sadness and a deeper meaning to all the horrible things he did. 

Then there was Lea Travers. The roommate of Danica and MBFF (Major Best Friend Forever) of Kat. In the first book I was intrigued by her because there wasn't much. She seemed shy and she had a limp and some scars. 

You would think that these two would be horrible for each other. Lea hated the kind of Max that the world saw. Max wanted nothing more than to be around Lea. But you know what they say, opposites attract and all.

Make it Right works on so many levels. You have the sexy and burning attraction between Max and Lea. Then there is the more sensitive aspect to both of them. Both are broken and have many scars. Some on the outside and definitely on the inside and both Lea and Max wear masks to cover up the ugliest ones. When they let them down is when you see the heart of the story. Redemption. Throughout most of the book I felt like Max was trying to prove that he was more than this cocky jock and Lea was trying to prove that she had all her shit together.

Along with that, there was this suspense that was thrown in there with the muggings. I mean, not only am I worried about if these two are going to get their heads out of their asses and just be together, I have to worry if someone is going to die too?!

But leave it to Megan to make it all turn out in the end. I won't tell you what happens because what kind of person would I be? I will say that you have to read this book. There is hot broody boy, ice skating, COOKIES, and even freaking coconut bras. That to me sounds like a recipe for a good time.
